July 10, 2021 Klammfest

As of October 4th, the Garnitzenklamm is not looked after. A hike through is at your own risk. The gorge will not be serviced again until spring 2022.

3rd of July 2021 reopening

The new bridge 1 was inaugurated at this year's Klammfest. Thanks to everyone for there support.

Just on time for the Klammfest all parts of the gorge are open.

Here our Klammwart Armin when crossing the almost finished, freshly flown in, bridge for the first time.

Spectecular transportation

On June 29th, the large laminated beams for bridge 1 were flown into the gorge by helicopter.

Material transport

Today material for the renovation of bridges 5 and 7 was flown in in several flights. As well as the substructure for bridge 1.

We work hard every day in order to be able to reopen the gorge for our guests in July.

Rock fall after bridge 2

The clean-up work in the Garnitzenklamm will take longer this year. After the bridge 2 above the Idawarte there was a big rock fall

Collapse of the bridge no 1

Unfortunately not good news ... The bridge no 1 did not withstand the pressure of the water masses and collapsed today ... our volunteers had a thousand guardian angels ...

Flood 2020

A flood on August 30, 2020 caused major damage in the Garnitzenklamm. Paths have been spilled and relocated. Footbridges and bridges eroded and washed away. The gorge cannot be opened again until next summer.
