As of October 4th, the Garnitzenklamm is not looked after. A hike through is at your own risk. The gorge will not be serviced again until spring 2022.

Last work at bridge no. 2
Just on time for the Klammfest all parts of the gorge are open.

On June 29th, the large laminated beams for bridge 1 were flown into the gorge by helicopter.

Today material for the renovation of bridges 5 and 7 was flown in in several flights. As well as the substructure for bridge 1.

Collapse of the bridge no 1
Unfortunately not good news ... The bridge no 1 did not withstand the pressure of the water masses and collapsed today ... our volunteers had a thousand guardian angels ...

A flood on August 30, 2020 caused major damage in the Garnitzenklamm. Paths have been spilled and relocated. Footbridges and bridges eroded and washed away. The gorge cannot be opened again until next summer.
